Come and rest up in nature

A opportunity to come relax, unwind, have fun and explore
Each of our AirBnB properties has its own personality and features. Located in quiet private courtyard, all our cottages are single story with options for one or three bedrooms. Your dogs are welcome too!
-
We have high standards
The cottages are all beautifully equipped with new beds, furniture and soft furnishings. Each property has been recently renovated to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing. We have two one-bedroom properties and two with three bedrooms. Clock Cottages are all situated in a private Estate courtyard, whilst The Bothy is located in the courtyard behind Wicken House.
-
Modern Amenities
Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen (new appliances such as washing machine, microwave and coffee maker), Wi-Fi and large flatscreen TV.
-
Outdoor Space
Two of the cottages (Clock Cottages 2 & 3) have their own secure private garden. All the cottages have a patio area with table and chairs for guests to relax outdoors. You can also stroll through the Estate's formal walled garden with your coffee or relax on a bench to enjoy the sunset. There are some fine views across the countryside from the lawns.
-
Welcome basket
Our guests will receive a welcome basket on their arrival to start your stay off in the right way - tea, coffee, milk and other essentials and the bathroom comes with lovely toiletries.
-
Dogs are welcome too!
A holiday isn't always a holiday unless you can bring your dog along too. We welcome well behaved and friendly dogs at The Wicken Estate. There are many walks around the area with the Peddars Way passing right in front of the Estate drive. We also have expansive lawns which you are welcome to explore, please ensure you clean up after any visits.

Nearby Attractions and Activities
One of the biggest advantages of our Estate is its location. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities within walking distance or a short drive:
-
Historic Houses and Nature Trails
The national trail, The Peddars Way goes past the end of the Estate drive heading for the Coast. We are 25 minutes from the Royal Sandringham Estate, 40m minutes from Holkham Hall and beach and the coast is dotted with lots of beautiful traditional villages with pubs, cafes and shops.
-
Restaurants and Cafes
There are plenty of fabulous pubs and restaurants in the area. The Dabbling Duck at Great Massingham is a favourite. Also the Stag at West Acre. For a wonderful country house garden cafe, visit the Apple Cafe at West Acre - they make the most amazing cakes!
-
Cultural Sites
If you like a little art - the coast has a number of renown galleries: Birdscapes Gallery near Holt, The Garage Studio near Ringstead is well worth a visit and for more modern tastes, Houghton Hall has a visiting artist each year.
-
Shopping and Entertainment
Boutiques, markets, and entertainment venues provide plenty of options for leisure and shopping. A trip to Drove Orchards at Thornham is recommended and a day spent at the historic towns of Holt and Sheringham are also worth a trip.
